James Island Bars and Restaurants

Kickin' Chicken

1175 Folly Rd, James Island, SC 29412

One thing is certain. When you visit Kickin' Chicken out here in the James Island area during your Charleston Party Buses trip, you will never be disappointed with the experience that they deliver. This is a chicken, burger, and sandwich joint that is casual and simple, with a great sports bar vibe and some of the most attentive service around. The wings are always super tasty and they always have a lot of specials going on to help you save some money, like their three dollar drink night or their two entrees for twelve bucks night! Trivia night is also one of the most fun nights to come in. The fact that they are open until 2:00 am every night is a perk for night owls!

How Art Thou Music Cafe & Tapas Bar

1956 Maybank Hwy, James Island, SC 29412

How Art Thou Music Cafe & Tapas Bar has become a very exciting destination for our Charleston Party Buses travelers in and around James Island. Not only can you indulge in some amazing wine, coffee, and tea, but you can enjoy live jazz and blues that will send you on a trip to music heaven. The service is absolutely outstanding here, with friendly servers and bartenders who actually remember your name and your usuals if you're a regular! The beer tastings are excellent here and we're huge fans of the smoked salmon, so definitely indulge in that if you've got a hankering for some seafood. Classy yet casual ambiance, very comfortable and inviting.

Fuel

211 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403

Fuel is a Caribbean themed bar and burger spot that has never failed to please our Charleston Party Buses partiers in the James Island area. This is one of those spots that nearly always has a full parking lot, so one of the major perks of traveling with Charleston Party Buses is that you won't have to wait for a spot, because you'll be dropped off and picked up right at the door! Nice. Our very top of the tops recommendations here include the jerk chicken sandwiches, the braised pork tacos, and the ducuna which are deep fried sweet potatoes with tamarind chutney. Truly some amazing flavors on display right there! Order them all and split them with your group!

Boone's Bar

345 King St, Charleston, SC 29401

Boone's Bar is a simple and inviting bar and restaurant where you can get classic burgers, delicious old fashioned cocktails, and of course choose from a nice array of beer and wine. They have a really outstanding bourbon selection here, so if that's your bag, we think you'll really be in love with this place. The Boone's burger is definitely the way to go, if you ask us. The zucchini fries alongside it are just the perfect complement. They have televisions here in case it's big game night and they also offer free wi-fi. The best nights to check this one out are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We appreciate their late night hours, until 2 every night except Sundays when they close up at midnight.

Rutledge Cab Co.

1300 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, SC 29403

As a transportation company, we like to joke that Rutledge Cab Co. sounds like they would be Charleston Party Buses' competition, but in fact it's really a nice burger joint and bar that so many of our customers in the James Island area enjoy. Watching the game and having a couple of cocktails here is an awesome way to spend an evening, but we also recommend coming in for a full-on lunch or dinner, or even breakfast or brunch! They have the full array waiting for you, so pick your poison. The fish tacos are incredible, the lamb burgers are mind blowing, and the cheddar burgers are just about as good as it gets. Great service, great ambiance!
